9/23/2023 0 Comments Superior township assessor![]() ![]() Through a series of sales-ratio and individual property studies, Kostishak's department determines whether each unit is assessing up to the 50 per cent I level on four separate typps of property: residential, agricultural, commercial and j industrial. The county commissioners each year are charged with equalizing the county or bringing assessments within individual governmental units to the 50 per cent level required by state law. Kostishak recommended a factor of 1.08 for Ann Arbor Township, a factor of 1.10 for Superior TowHship and left the decisiĆ³n on the Ypsilanti Township factor to the commissioners pending further meetings with Ypsilanti Township Assessor James W. ![]() County Equalization Director George Kostishak said that data from the 1973 assessment roles made available to the equalization office since the compilation of the preliminary factors indicated only three townships, Superior, Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti should receive factors from the county this year. Of the 11 townships and Ann Arbor I city which were recommended for prelirainary property assessment equalization factors, only three were formally recommended for f a c t o r i n g to the county's Budget and Taxation Committee Tuesday. ![]()
